Summer work for incoming second graders:
Students are encouraged to read for 15-20 minutes daily. They may keep a record of what they read on the attached reading log.
Students will complete two book reports, one nonfiction, and one fiction. There is no 'set' book, students are encouraged to pick a book that they will enjoy reading and complete the attached book report.
Students should practice their math facts daily. Addition and subtraction cards are available at any dollar store or stores like Walmart, Target, etc.
Summer "bridge books" are also a good option for summer work. This is not an assignment that will be checked.
