Fourth grade is a year full of fun, learning and adventure! 

Reading: We read many novels and study the literary elements with different activities. We use literature circles to share our thoughts about the book. Each novel concludes with a creative project.

Writing: We study several different types of writing.  From letter writing and summaries, to personal narratives and informative essays.

Language Arts: We study Vocabulary, Grammar, and Spelling

Math: Fourth graders add to their knowledge of place value, addition, and subtraction. They then move onto multi-digit multiplication, long division, fractions, and more!

Social Studies: We take a road trip across the United States, studying the five regions. We conclude the year with a state float project.

Religion: In grade 4 we study our faith using Sacred Art, Lectio Divina, studying the saints, and our text book.
