Time to Review Your 2021 Pandemic Playbook for HOAs - Well that was a strange year. And, while we may have all become experts at bobbing and weaving through the many unprecedented challenges of 2020, it’s time to dust off (or draft, if you never even got that far) your Pandemic Playbook and get it ready for 2021. Here are some things to consider for your HOA.
Consumer Rights and Responsibilities During a Real Estate Transaction (Lending and Closing) - Whether buying or selling a home, maneuvering through a real estate transaction can be a daunting task for many. It is not that often that the average person is involved in the real estate process during their lifetime. In this article we will concentrate on some of those rights and responsibilities concerning the lending and closing processes of the real estate transaction.
Changes to Protected Classes under the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act - The Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA) prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, and places of public accommodation. Anyone involved in housing related transactions (including real estate brokers and HOA board members/community managers) should be aware that they are subject to the housing provisions of CADA and that they need to take care not to discriminate.
In this third installment of a four-part advisory series, licensees will learn how to be compliant with the “cost approach.” Take 5 minutes to review the advisory so that you can be compliant in your appraisal practice and avoid any violations and discipline for failing to comply with the appraisal cost approach.
