1) What is the CMS definition of elopement?
2) Can a resident be skilled for a g-tube if that is the only skilled service provided and therapy has ended?
3) Scenario: A significant portion of a facility's staff is out due to COVID-19 or isolation related to COVID exposure. During the hours they are not providing skilled therapy services, the in-house therapists and therapy assistants are helping out by doing tasks typically completed by CNAs. Are the hours the therapists and therapy assistants provide care to residents, which is typically done by a CNA, able to be included in the PBJ hours under “CNA”? If not, is there a category where these hours can be included?
