Get Ready for the iQIES Transition
As the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) move toward the rollout of iQIES for nursing facilities in early 2023, the first step requires each facility to select a security official.
The facility-selected security official must register for a HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) account and then log in to iQIES at https://iqies.cms.gov/ with the HARP login credentials to complete the role request. CMS has created a video detailing the HARP registration process and released an iQIES Onboarding guide to assist providers with this process.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the first improper payment rate for the Federally-facilitated Exchange (FFE) program was less than 1% for Benefit Year 2020, thanks in large part to the agency's implementation of effective automated processes for the program's eligibility determinations and payments. This finding highlights CMS' commitment to being responsible stewards of public funds, and to ensure the sustainability of its programs for future generations.
