3) They are interview items (RAI User's Manual shows an ear icon beside them) and must be asked during the 7-day look-back window for each MDS as the other interview items. For RAI coding, the look-back is 7 days unless the form or RAI User's Manual specifies another timeframe (e.g., 30 days for weights and 14 days for O0110).
4) Yes, no matter where the fall occurs if the resident is still ‘your’ resident, the fall is coded on the MDS. Residents are still residents of the SNF even while on LOAs with families.
5) The coding guidance in the RAI guidance manual for 10-01-24 has not changed for this question and is still only answered on the 5-day MDS.
