SNF PPS Final Rule for FY 2024
CMS released the Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System (SNF PPS) final rule for fiscal year (FY) 2024 on July 31, 2023.
Review the CMS Fact Sheet to better understand the significant updates that vary from the proposed rule released this past spring.
(Note: These figures do not incorporate the payment reductions that certain SNFs may be subject to under the SNF VBP).
Additions to the Final Rule
Staff Turnover Measure will begin FY 2024.
DC Function Outcome Score is the same as the QRP.
Long-Stay: hospitalization measure and % of residents experiencing one or more falls with major injury.
