The Legacy of the Environmental Leadership Program
The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) was Colorado's longstanding, statewide environmental recognition and reward program that offered benefits and incentives to members that voluntarily go beyond compliance with state and federal regulations and are committed to continual environmental improvement. In 2021, CDPHE updated the Environmental Leadership Program with new branding, criteria, and a new name - the Colorado Green Business Network!
As part of that restructuring, we've moved our recognition content to our official state website, which can be found here.
From ELP to the Colorado Green Business Network!
Our program has changed! We are excited to announce the new and improved Colorado Green Business Network!
The Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN) is a voluntary program that encourages, supports, and rewards organizations that make the move toward the goal of true, operational sustainability. Our goal is to support organizations throughout the state at any level of implementation in increasing the efficiency and sustainability of their operation through assessing opportunities for growth, recognizing success, and providing connections to like-minded businesses throughout the state.
We do this through a two-pronged approach by:
Providing free, off-site coaching and on-site assistance to any organization that requests it.
Recognizing and awarding organizations for exemplary practices that lead to resource reduction.
Join the CGBN community!
The new structure of the Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN) is designed to support organizations across industry in increasing the efficiency and sustainability of their daily operations through assessing opportunities for growth, recognizing success, pushing the needle on what is expected of sustainable businesses in the State of Colorado.
There are lots of reasons to join the Colorado Green Business Network. We provide networking and community opportunities, connections with state and local programs, as well as direct installations and project implementation support!
