East West Hospitality (EWH) celebrated its 30th anniversary by being named 2017 “Business of the Year” awarded by the Vail Valley Partnership and was recognized in 2016 as Colorado’s “Best Property Management Company” by ColoradoBIZ Magazine. EWH was recently awarded the management of the Solaris Residence, a 22-unit luxury property, and Vail Mountain Lodge and Spa, both located the heart of the Vail Village. The company also oversaw several exciting renovation projects at its Vail Valley properties, added new luxury rental inventory at The Lion in Vail and upped its dedication to supporting its more than 700 Vail Valley employees by raising the company’s starting minimum wage to $15 per hour.

Responsible Energy & Greenhouse Gas Reduction

• 99% LED lighting throughout the property.
• Installation of Low E, U-factor 0.26 energy efficient window/glass doors in all of our residences.
• Common area and condo lighting upgrades saved 14,693 KWH (2016-2017).
• Energy Rebate savings over $30,000 since 2015.
• Low VOC (volatile organic compounds) carpet and paint is use.
• Two EV car chargers were in stalled in parking garage - free to guests.

Waste Minimization & Diversion

• 40% Trash diversion rate for 2018, recycling over 41,600 lbs, single stream recycling program. Recycling collection containers in all residences and throughout the property.
• 100% recycled paper products used in all residences and common areas.
• 30% to 100% recycled products used in office supplies.
• Replaced in-unit toiletries with refillable bulk bottles, eliminating the small container waste.

Water Conservation & Quality

• Low- flow water toilet-tank systems used throughout the property and low-flow faucet aerators used throughout.
• Landscaping native vegetation planted for low water use.

Corporate Social Responsibility

• Sustainable Travel International & Actively Green Sustainable Business Certified, Trip Advisor GreenLeader Sliver Level and a member of the East West Hospitality EcoCare team. .
• Employees are engaged in local community sustainability efforts and receive paid time off to volunteer.
• Donate and repurpose old furniture, pillows, blankets, glass doors.
• Donated 200 Blankets and pillows to the Eagle Animal shelter.
