Automated louvers move based on the angle of the sun to save energy.
High-efficiency LED and lighting, Energy Star appliances, and occupancy sensors that turn lights off when areas aren’t in use.
Waste Minimization & Diversion
Eliminated single-use plastic
Diverted more than 105 tons of materials from landfills.
Replaced plastic beverage bottles.
Infinitely recyclable aluminum cans and compostable cups made of 100 percent plant-based materials are available for beverages.
Composts all eating utensils, straws, napkins, plates, condiment cups, salad containers, and food waste.
Water Conservation & Quality
Use native plants to save water, with non-potable water used for irrigation.
Installed low flow fixtures and urinals and a Ground Source Heat Pump.
Corporate Social Responsibility
11,845 – Number of accumulated days staff used alternative transportation to get to work
Partnership with Ball Corp - an in-kind donation of 200,000 infinitely recyclable aluminum bottles of water for museum.
Launched public side composting in 2018.
