Monica Gilbert is the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Fortified Development LLC, a minority and woman-owned certified business, and parent corporation of Fortified Development Trucking.  Monica and her partners started the company in October 2019 by faith. Monica utilized her background in implementing standard operating procedures for health care systems, as well as compliance, policies, and government regulations to build Fortified Development.  

Monica keeps the organization running as it should with FMCSA, Safety and Compliance and Drug and Alcohol Consortium, budget control, and strategic planning. She leads Fortified with a friendly, no-nonsense attitude, creating win-win situations for partners, customers, and employees.

Monica has helped numerous owner-operators and small business trucking firms understand the steps to starting a trucking company. This includes:

• Getting DOT numbers

• Setting up safety records

• Developing onboarding and maintenance programs

• Ensuring compliance with Federal and state regulations for over-the-road and hauling operations

Monica holds a degree in Computer Information Technology and Project Management.  She is available for trucking consulting by virtual appointment statewide.
