CDPHE received funding from the marijuana tax cash fund to support substance abuse prevention among youth using a shared risk and protective factor approach. The CDPHE Coach Team of COFP Systems Change Specialists exists to support COFP community partners in achieving their local prevention goals. The Injury & Violence Prevention Center is contracted by the Violence and Injury Prevention - Mental Health Promotion Branch at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to conduct the statewide evaluation of the Community Organizing for Prevention (COFP) program. The evaluation aims to understand how COFP is being implemented and how risk factors, protective factors, and long-term outcomes are changing in COFP-funded communities across Colorado.
The Center for Communities That Care distributes the CTC PLUS system and helps communities learn about and implement CTC PLUS through coaching support. UW has expertise in evidence-based program implementation and best practices, and offers statewide trainings including the CTC Training of Facilitators and the CTC Social Development Strategy Workshop.
RM-PHTC provides specialized technical assistance and training to address public health needs in communities across Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. RM-PHTC offers individualized and group technical assistance, along with a wide variety of training options including one-time and multi-week learning opportunities, live events held in-person or online, and self-paced online training. RM-PHTC is housed within the Center for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
