MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

• Federal performance reporting for workforce related federal & state programs and grants; 

• Data & metric tracking systems for Workforce Development Programs and the Employment & Training (E&T) division and the statewide workforce system 

• Serves as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for:

  1. WIOA program & grant technical guidance; 

  2. Technical policy translation; 

  3. Puts into effect federal & state technical governance as it applies to E&T workforce programs; 

  4. Performs oversight, administration, and training to staff to assist them in becoming proficient on tracking and reporting E&T program & grant case management and labor exchange participants through the Colorado state E&T software and database systems;

• Leads, collaborates and facilitates technology automation projects for E&T; 

• Designs, maintains, develops, and supports various websites and database systems.

• Provides support and training to staff on the functionality, structure, and technical aspects of using new or existing E&T technology and software used by the various agencies/units working in workforce programs.

Oversees and Manages:

 > Strategic Solutions staff, services and projects.
> Federal reporting for the Employment & Training (E&T) division and Workforce Development Programs through the statewide workforce system maintained & administered by Strategic Solutions.
> Automated projects for E&T to provide better approaches and enhancements in tracking, monitoring, reviewing, interpreting, reporting, and processing statewide data for the federal & state workforce programs & grants.
> Meetings where Strategic Solutions staff give data insights and translation for statewide performance discussions & negotiations setting standards reported to USDOL.
> Technical guidance on E&T program data tracking, processing and reporting for local and state government staff, workforce partner agencies/departments, and stakeholders working with E&T grants and programs.

Areas of Focus:     

• Primary contact for requests for ad hoc queries and reports for Connecting Colorado data. 

• Provides technical support for workforce centers on Connecting Colorado and manages other MIS projects as assigned.

Job duties & skills: 

• Serves as the Primary Contact & Technical Support for:

• Premier Virtual (site/system): coordinates & supports (Local) Workforce Center sponsored Employer & Business Events for Job Seekers

• Eligible Training Providers List (ETPL): assists & serves as a liaison between the Department of Education, the Software Vendor & the Colleges & Schools that use the ETPL site - system.

• Provides additional MIS services as assigned

• Serve as the primary contact & technical support for the Trade Adjustment Act  (TAA) automated system 

• Serves in multiple capacities with the tech projects related to:

  • Connecting Colorado

  • TAA

  • and other systems and/or sites as assigned
