Board bios

Mr. Davenport is retired from a career as a professional engineer and a majority owner of a successful business which was sold in 2010. He has almost 40 years of experience in mechanical systems for buildings - encompassing in-depth knowledge of building design, operations, commissioning and troubleshooting. His expertise also includes the full breadth of business operations as a principal owner as well as organizational manager.

Prior to retirement, he was a registered professional engineer (P.E.) in multiple states, and continues to maintain active registration in Colorado. As a professional engineer licensed in many states (when he was actively practicing) he is familiar with professional licensing, application processes, continuing education, maintenance and license renewal and practice expectations, including issues related to standards of care. He is very detail oriented and task focused and hopes to apply his skills and knowledge to assist and add value to the medical licensing board as a public member.

Mr. Davenport has been a resident of Colorado since 1980 and has been married to his wife Carol for 37 years.
