  • If possible, dial 911 on your TTY for a direct connection to the nearest emergency response center

  • 911 can be reached by dialing 711 on a TTY device and connecting with a Communication Assistant who will contact the nearest emergency response center and relay your emergency to the 911 dispatcher

Video Relay Service (VRS)

  • Those with hearing loss who use American Sign Language can connect to 911 through Video Relay Service (VRS) by dialing 911 on their videophone.

  • If calling from a home videophone, the address registered on the device will be provided to the emergency center. If you are using a VRS mobile app, an address of the emergency MUST be provided.

  • Depending on your type of video phone, a working landline and/or Internet connection may be required.

Captioned Telephone
