Welcome to the St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary Library! I am Mrs. LeBlanc and am so excited to be your librarian this year. Together I hope we will foster a love of the written word. Library class will feature wonderful stories, engaging activities, and fun brain breaks that will enhance our reading journeys.
This will be my 3rd year as a library educator. My lifetime love of reading and writing brought me from a Catholic publisher in Boston to nearly a decade serving youth at public and school libraries in Connecticut. I hold an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University and have prior experience tutoring teens in the craft of writing. My family and I are parishioners at St. Teresa of Calcutta in Manchester. I look forward to reading and writing with you this year!
My favorite books include Bunnies on a Boat by Philip Ardagh, The Elephant & Piggie series by Mo Willems, The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo, and Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
Visiting my local library for new books, especially middle grade novels for me, and picture books for my children.
Baking treats and sweets, especially in the Fall.
Traveling to see my family
in Florida.
Playing board games.
