My name is Darcy Schuster, I am thrilled to be teaching  3rd grade at STA!  This is my 22nd year teaching.   I have taught grades two through sixth.  Teaching is my passion and calling.   It is so rewarding to watch my students learn and grow.  I feel blessed to teach in a Catholic school.  I was lucky enough to attend Catholic schools from first grade through college.  I enjoy being able to pray together, and love teaching religion.  God is at the core and center of all we do.   Our class is like a family, where we will learn, laugh and work together.  We work on putting the Catholic Social Teachings into action.   Third grade, is a wonderful year in which students gain greater independence , and develop critical thinking skills.

My husband and I are blessed with three children who we love spending time with.  We also have a dog named Russell.  I am originally from Seattle, Washington.  In my free time I love biking and hiking the local trails.   I also enjoy paddle-boarding and cooking,  just not at the same time!  When we can, my husband and I also love traveling and experiencing new places.
