Religion
This month, we will focus on forgiveness and compassion through our Choose Love lessons. We will also learn and practice the Hail Mary prayer as we continue growing together in our faith.

Reading
We will strengthen our reading skills through listening comprehension, print concepts, identifying problems and solutions, and exploring central ideas and themes. Our HMH unit, There's Only One Me, will help us celebrate what makes each of us unique!

Phonics
We are continuing to build our reading foundation! Students will practice letter names, letter sounds, proper letter formation, short vowels, consonants, rhyming, and syllables through our daily phonics activities.

Writing & Grammar
Our young writers will continue learning how to express complete thoughts and sentences. We will practice labeling pictures, using ending punctuation, and identifying nouns and verbs as we begin putting our ideas into writing.

Math
This month, we will explore geometry and patterns! Students will practice identifying and describing shapes, recognizing and creating patterns, and comparing numbers within 5.

Social Studies
We will explore culture and family! Students will learn about different family traditions, celebrate what makes each family special, and discover how our backgrounds help make our classroom community unique.

Science
We are becoming seasonal scientists! Students will explore the four seasons and observe how the world around us changes throughout the year. We will also investigate pumpkins and apples through hands-on activities as we celebrate the fall season!
