March
Space: This week our focus will be on outer space, and what makes up our solar system. We will learn about the planets, constellations, the sun, work on writing our letters, and so much more! Sight words this unit: with, his.
Literacy - Sequence of events, letter tracing, identifying sight words, rhyming.Â
Math - Making 10 frames (1-20), simple addition, using a ruler to measure objects, shape rockets.
STEM - Can you build a rocket ship?
Science - Planets, day/night, and shadows. We will also be experimenting with Oobleck! Is it a solid or liquid?
Spanish - Sol (sun). Luna (moon).
Religion - Lent and the Creation Story.

Next Unit: Spring! We will spend the next two weeks learning about Spring, and how the weather changes with each season.

It's getting chilly!
Please remember to dress your child for outdoor fun. We will be outside for recess each day that is weather permitting. While snow pants are not needed - boots are okay! Please provide an additional pair of sneakers to wear in the classroom.
Along with a warm jacket... Feel free to leave an extra hat, and mittens in your child's cubby for everyday use.
