We enjoyed some bonding and nature at our retreat at Holy Family!
Students participated in Bible story charades, group games, and prayed while walking the Labyrinth.
We had a great day in the Fall weather!
In Science we have been studying the process of erosion! We used sugar cubes to model erosion and how it changes the surface of the sugar cube. We related this to rocks and minerals to further our understanding!
Students outline the edges of two sugar cubes, and placed one in a cup and left one out. Then they took turns shaking the cup 40 times, and recording their observations after each set. By the end, the sugar cubes in the cup were round balls with pieces of sugar coating the bottm. We use this experiment to help us understand the process of erosion, and how a rock might look different at the top of a mountain to the bottom.
After our experiment, we answered the question "Will a mountain last forever?" using evidence from our data!
