About Us

Our Mission:

We're pleased to announce the formation of The Blue Streak Basketball Program. Our primary mission is to create opportunities for future Saint Thomas Aquinas student-athletes to develop fundamentals that lead to success in basketball while incorporating team concepts. Coaches and staff will be implementing the USA Youth Developmental Curriculum while learning the value of competition and team play.

Goals of the Program:

• Student-Athletes will be coached by USA Basketball Licensed Coaches with ties to the STA program

• Coaches will incorporate life skills such as work ethic, competitiveness, and teamwork while working with student-athletes

• Student-Athletes will build a foundation of understanding the drills, terminology, and expectations for the Saint Thomas Aquinas High School Boys Basketball program

Blue Streak History:

The Blue Streaks were the original mascot of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School before the school moved to its current location from Shawnee, KS. Before opening its doors in 1988, STA was known as the St. Joseph-Shawnee Blue Streaks. Our hope is to keep the history alive as student athletes prepare to embark on their careers at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.
