Attendance Policy
Attendance will be taken daily for all subjects. Please let the office know if your child will be absent.
If your child is absent from school, they will have work to complete when they return. They will have an opportunity to sit with me or with a study buddy to review materials. Students will be given an acceptable amount of time to complete missed work.
Grading Policy
RIS uses a 1-4 scale rubric to assess students' progress.
1 = Progress is below grade level expectations, the student has not demonstrated the skill/behavior yet
2 = Approaching grade level expectations, the student is making gradual progress in demonstrating the skill/behavior
3 = Meets grade level expectations, the student is making satisfactory progress in demonstrating the skill/behavior
4 = Consistently meets grade level expectations, the student is consistently proficient in demonstrating the skill/behavior
