Meet Mrs. Aprile

Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Aprile and I am Starpoint's Physical Therapist. I am a district resident living in the town of Lockport with my husband, two children, and our dog, Rocky. I received my B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2000, along with a B.A. in Psychology. I then went on to obtain my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Boston Univeristy in 2005, where I completed a capstone research project entitled, "The Efficacy of Seven Day per Week Physical Therapy Services in a Subacute Rehabilitation Setting."  I have worked in a variety of settings as a Physical Threapist, including hospitals, subacute rehab facilities, and an outpatient PT clinic, but my heart has always been in pediatrics. Prior to coming to Starpoint, I worked for Buffalo Hearing and Speech center for many years, providing school based and preschool Physical Therapy services throughout Niagara and Erie Counties.  In my free time, you can find me on the pool deck coaching the Lockport YMCA Stingrays swim team, on the ice or behind the bench with Amherst Youth Hockey, camping with my family or cheering for the Bills, Sabres, Bandits and, of course, all of my kids sports teams!
