Welcome Starpoint Families! This 2025-2026 school year will be my fifth year at RIS as the school social worker. I look forward to working with many of my previous students again, and welcoming some new students as well :)
District-Wide Responsibilities of the School Social Worker Include:
- Individual Counseling
- Small Group Counseling
- Crisis Interventions
- Multi Grade Level Classroom Mental Health Push-In Lessons
- Classroom Behavior Plans/Interventions
- IEP and 504 Accommodation Plans
-Counseling Re-evaluations
- Ongoing Collaboration with Students, Families, the Educational Team, and Outside Providers
- Outside Service Referrals
- Resource Referrals
- Member of the Committee of Special Education (CSE)
- Member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee
- Member of the RIS Instructional Support Team (IST)
- Member of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Committee
-Member of the Family Support Center (FSC) Committee
