Welcome to AP Chemistry!  Whether you took Regents or Honors chemistry before this, AP Chem will challenge you!  AP Chemistry is structured as a first year college course and will move at a similar pace.  In order to do well in AP Chem you must be willing to dedicate the necessary time and effort. You will come across problems that will make you think on a much higher level than you might be used to, but you will come out of the class able to think critically and effectively analyze scientific ideas and problems. Your performance will be directly related to the effort you put in, and no one can do the work for you. Successful students both in class and on the AP exam will do all homework, complete all practice problems, read every chapter, participate in lab, and seek help when needed. There is not a formula for doing well, it simply requires hard work.
