Lessons
Students in 5th grade who play a band instrument will participate in one music lesson each week, during the school day. At this time it is anticipated that small group lessons will be 40 minutes and individual lessons (select students due to scheduling conflicts) will be 20 minutes. All students will need the Essential Elements book for their instrument.
Percussionists
Percussionists should have a bell kit with mallets and must have a snare drum or practice pad with drumsticks.
5th Grade Band
There are two bands this year - before school on Wednesdays or before school on Fridays. Students will be placed in one of the two bands by Mrs. Fish. Students who are new to playing their instrument in 5th grade may need to wait until January to begin band.
