Getting to Date #1...and Beyond
This weekend dating workshop - held over three days - is for neurodivergent young adults and their parents!
The workshop is a collaboration of Starobin Counseling and Dr. Jamell White, PhD, LCSW-C.
The date hasn't been set yet - submit an application and we'll be sure to notify you when a date has been selected.
This group is for neurodivergent young adults (ages 17-mid 20s) who are ready - or curious about - dating.
It's also for parent(s) who want to know more about how they can support their young adult in this new phase.
Over the weekend, we'll cover these topics:
Boundaries and Self Esteem
Peer pressure and talking about sex (consent)
Identifying a compatible partner
Communication in a dating relationship
How to meet people & getting to know them
Dealing with conflict in relationships
Creating a profile for online dating
Decision-making and self-advocacy
Understanding intimacy & expressing affection
Navigating parental involvement
Weekend Dating Workshop will be held at Starobin Counseling in Olney, Maryland.
There’s plenty of off-street parking behind the building!
Accessibility note: the office is located on the 2nd floor of a building that does not have an elevator.
