As part of BTEC Business you will study the following mandatory modules:

Business Organisations
These modules will cover fundamental topic areas such as multinational business and partnerships. We will also consider functional areas in Business such as HRM and Marketing.
We will also select some optional modules to give you a good understanding of how modern businesses are run. One module is called ‘Business Enterprise’ and you will set up and run a business within your class. There will be an opportunity to enter global and national business competitions depending on how successful your business journey is. There will be time spent on developing your communication, teamwork and leadership skills in order to prepare you for the world of work in the future.
In Business BTEC you will be assessed through coursework and one practical. You will be assessed on your knowledge about the different aspects of different types of business.
Your practical will be assessed using the system Pass/Merit/Distinction, and it will assess your collaborative skills with others through creating your own business.
Your written work will test your knowledge of the content you are taught, this is done through many different formats, such as a business plan or even a newspaper article.
