The Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in Science (Double Award) is part of a suite of International GCSE qualifications offered by Pearson. The table below shows an overview of what students can expect to be taught during their iGCSE Science course. By the end of the course, students can expect to receive two iGCSE Science grades (general science).
There are 5 key topic areas that you will study over the two years:

Reproduction and inheritance
Ecology and the environment
Use of biological resources
There are 4 key topic areas that you will study over the two years:
Principles of chemistry
Inorganic chemistry
Physical chemistry
Organic chemistry
There are 8 key topic areas that you will study over the two years:
Forces and motion
Electricity
Waves
Energy resources and energy transfers
Solids, liquids and gases
Magnetism and electromagnetism
Radioactivity and particles
Astrophysics
You will sit 3 written exam papers in total: Biology Paper 1, Chemistry Paper 1 and Physics Paper 1. Each exam paper will be 2 hours long and with a total of 110 marks available each. Each exam paper will have a mixture of different question styles, including multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions, calculations and extended open-response questions. The use of a calculator is allowed in all 3 papers.
There are a range of skills that you will acquire/develop further during the course of your study, some of which includes:
Being able to make links between different areas of science and apply them to new situations.
Evaluate scientific information, making judgements on the basis of this information.
Recognise the importance of accurate experimental work and reporting scientific methods in science.
