How do two educators begin working together? A tool such as the Teacher Working Style Guide from Stetson and Associates might be helpful. Addressing teaching styles and preferences BEFORE trying to collaborate can help the educators avoid common pitfalls.
A lesson planning document that clearly outlines what each educator will do can also be helpful. This Lesson Plan Template was adapted from a Maryland Coalition of Inclusive Education resource. The second page provides guidance for each educator.

Co-teaching is one way that educators can collaborate, but co-teaching is just ONE way. There are many other ways to provide services. The slides and video linked below can show some of the additional ways educators can collaborate:
