New Members

New Member Information

Thank you for your interest in the St. Anthony's High School Rock and Roll Club!

For guitarists/bassists to participate in Rock and Roll Club you must have your own equipment for rehearsals (guitars, tuners, cables, small practice amps if available).

Rehearsals

• The Rock and Roll Club meets every Wednesday 2:45pm to 5pm

• All club members must commit to Wednesday rehearsals for the school year to be considered for band placement. A band is only as good as the commitment of all its players. * There will be an acoustic club (solo guitar, piano players) coming soon for those who want to play but need a more flexible situation! *

Performances:

• Fall, Winter, Spring Pep Rally

• September S.A.L.T. Freshman Carnival

• Mongo's Coffee House (Fall and Spring gigs)

• Mothers' Guild Christmas Party

• January NHS Variety Show

• February Lunar New Year

• Relay For Life

• Late Spring - Acoustic Night @ SA Med Lab

• Late May Rock and Roll Showcase

CLUB STRUCTURE

Club members can find themselves in one of three performance situations: solos, duets, and/or bands.

Soloists are those individuals who can sing and perform their own music accompaniment (typically guitar or piano).  Weekly attendance to club not required. However, each soloist must audition during a regular rehearsal to be placed on an upcoming gig setlist.

Duets are those individuals who collaborate for their performances (i.e. - guitar player and vocalist). Weekly attendance to club also not required for duets. However, each duet pair must audition during a regular rehearsal to be placed on an upcoming gig setlist.

Bands are a collection of club members with similar music tastes that will collaborate on their own setlists. Each band is required to consist of at least a guitarist, bassist, drummer, and vocalist.  Player back-ups are highly recommended in the event a player cannot attend a gig (understudy performers).
