Principal

Hello!

My name is Mrs. Judith Jakotowicz White. I have been the Principal here at St. Anthony's for the past ten years, and I have the best job in the world! I get to work with a wonderful faculty and staff who help me live out our school's mission. Our logo proudly states that we "value the past" and "embrace the future." That is also part of my personal mission for my parish school. I have a special and unique relationship with this school. My past began here at St. Anthony's. I was baptized as a parishioner here many years ago. My brother and I both attended school here for all nine years. I attended our sister school, Padua Academy, for high school, earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Neumann University and a Masters Degree in a Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University. While I worked on my Masters Degree, I spent one year working in an adolescent psychiatric hospital, one year as a full time substitute teacher in middle school, and then one year teaching Third Grade. I worked in public schools in Red Clay, Christina, and Brandywine school districts for 7 years. When I registered my daughter for Kindergarten here at St. Anthony's, I was offered a job as school counselor. I was the school counselor and assistant principal here for 11 years prior to taking on the role of principal.

I received all of my sacraments here in this beautiful parish church where I married my husband of 27 years. We have two children, both who also attended St. Anthony's and are proud to have graduated from this terrific school. My daughter was our original Tiger mascot until she graduated from Padua Academy. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware. My son graduated from Salesianum High School and the University of Delaware.

Now for the second part of our logo, "embracing the future," I am committed to growing our school and parish. I have great plans for our strong, one-track school. We have so many things to offer. Schedule a tour! Have your child "shadow" for the day and check us out. They are sure to feel welcomed by our fabulous students. I brag often, but I do honestly believe we have the most amazing students. They are intelligent, loving, generous, talented, and fun! Come see for yourself!

Whether you are Catholic or not, our school mottos is very relevant to living a life of love and service to others. We follow in the spirit of one of our Patron Saints, St. Francis de Sales by sharing one of his famous quotes, "Be who you are, and be that well."

We have open enrollment. Call or stop by and visit our parish school family. Our doors are always open! Make our school your new home away from home. There are many opportunities for parent involvement, and we have a very active Home and School Board. I hope to meet you soon!

Blessings,

Mrs. White
