Pre-K 4

Dear Pre-K 4 Parents,

Hello! I am writing to let you know that I am looking forward to returning to the classroom full time on January 9, 2023. I wanted to let you know of some of the things that I have been doing behind the scenes in preparation for my return and some of the things you can expect to continue into the New Year.

Since December, I have met with Ms. Casey, Miss Hudson, and Mrs. Staropoli regularly to review student progress and plan for upcoming lessons. I have visited the classroom to see the students' work, taught an "all about me" lesson for the kids to get to know me, and led a lesson in which your children "taught" me what they have been learning. I have enjoyed taking part in centers-based learning, allowing me to have some small-group interaction with the students. I enjoyed helping students shop in the SAS Christmas Shoppe as well! This week, I'll be in the classroom for a portion of every day until Mrs. Staropoli transitions back to her role as the gym teacher on Monday.

Your children can expect to continue the daily routines/ expectations they have become accustomed to such as the show and share rotation each week, classroom jobs, and centers-based learning. I will continue to send the weekly theme memo emails each Friday, just as Mrs. Staropoli and Ms. Hudson have been doing. Parents should continue to use the prek4@thesaintannschool.org email as the primary method of communication with us teachers.

I also wanted to let you know that an early activity that I will work on in January with your children will be a special thank you for Mrs. Staropoli.

I plan to make this a seamless transition for your children! Please know that they will continue to learn with me as lead teacher and Ms. Hudson, who I'm very glad will be a constant that they have had thus far who will help with this transition. I look forward to working with your children and your families to continue to make this school year a fun one filled with love and learning.
