Week of October 12 - 15, 2021

This week is a spelling week. All spelling words can be found on spellingcity.com. Students have access through a link posted to their L.A. Google Classroom. Tests are this Friday.

6 L.A.

• This week we will continue working on our persuasive writing unit. We are reading about distinguishing facts and opinions and will end the week reading about clarifying.

7 L.A.

• This week we will continue reading the novel Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. We are analyzing the main characters as we read, and are discussing how Arthurian Legend is tied into the book.

8 L.A.

• This week we will are reading Act 1 Scenes 4-5 of The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. We are starting the week by presenting reader's theater skits from Scene 3. As we read we are analyzing elements of drama, and we are also analyzing characters as well.

7 S.S.

• This week we will present our research projects on Native North American Tribes. We will then begin chapter 2 in the textbook, Exploring the Americas, 1400-1625.

7 Religion

• This week we will have a test on chapter 3 on Thursday, and we will begin chapter 4. Facts quiz 3 will be next Tuesday. We are also listening to a books of the bible song in order to memorize the 27 books of the New Testament. We will be quizzed on the New Testament books Friday, October 22.
