Congratulations to Life Member Travis Hilliards on his succesful completion of 'Stop the Bleed Instructor'. 

This course is an official program of the American College of Surgeons and U.S. Department of Defense certifying individuals to instruct basic steps of how to control & stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies; man-made or natural disaster.

SVRS would like to thank Travis for his dedication and contiunation of volunteering to serve our community.

Congratulations to Lieutenant Travis Burns who successfully completed the Virginia Assoc. of First Responders (VAFR) Methods of Instruction course. 

This course is needed to become an instructor with the VAFR. Lt. Burns is looking to become an Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVOC) Instructor which would allow him to host in-house EVOC courses to certify new members to drive our apparatus.

SVRS thanks Lt Burns for his dedication and commitment to better serving our community!

Congratulations to member Ryan Lonas & Lieutenant Travis Burns in their completion of the EMS Officer I course recently.

This course contained approximately 8 hours of independent pre-course work and 16 hours of classroom work.

SVRS would like to thank Ryan & Travis for their hard work and dedication to volunteering to serve our community.

We would like to send a big congratulations to member Caleb Purdham on successful completion of his EMT-Basic course as well as passing his National Registry certification. This is a huge accomplishment and we are proud of his effort and determination.
