Our ME218C project is an armored, remote-controlled watercraft capable of navigating through shallow bodies of water, and sinking other competing watercraft's TENDR through a centrally mounted pump, which shoots high-pressure jets of water at controllable duty cycles.
The purpose of the project is to design a Zero-Ingress, Lightweight Uncrewed Scuttlebutt (0ILUS), which is a watercraft capable of navigating waters and being controlled by a Nautical Electromechanical Device for Mobile Operation (NEDMO). The remote controlled 0ILUS has to be capable of shooting down and sinking another opponent's floating pie tin. The hardware architecture of the 0ILUS consists of 1 PIC32 microcontroller, responsible for transmitting messages to the NEDMO and controlling the thrusters and pump motors. The NEDMO also contains 1 PIC32 microcontroller that sends and receives messages. It sends messages to remotely control the boat in order to shoot water into opponent floating pie tins.
