Team Botatouille
Bots and Pans is the ultimate robotic cook-off, a culinary showdown where BOTs (Brilliantly Orchestrated Top-chefs) compete to win over the judges. The competition involves a chaotic kitchen environment and friendly rivalry among competitor bots.
.
Design a autonomous robot that can expertly navigate the kitchen, gather ingredients and cook the perfect batch of popcorn. Your BOT’s mission is to fill the cooking pot with as many ingredients (nerf balls) as possible, activate the stove, and deliver the finished popcorn to the customer zone.
The robot should start in a designated zone, move a pot to a burner, ignite it, and deliver ingredients. Key requirements include fitting within a 12" cube, using Arduino UNO controllers, and adhering to a $200 budget. The competition lasts 2 minutes and 10 seconds, with robots scored on tasks like moving the pot, igniting the burner, and delivering ingredients.
The Field
The objective of this project is to construct an autonomous robot that can, at a minimum, defeat the average Internet user (a brick) by orienting itself, pushing the pot onto the burner, igniting the burner and delivering at least one ingredient into the pot.
Gordan Botsy is Team Botatouille's product to the Kitchen Wars. Designed and constructed as part of the Stanford University ME210 Initiative, Gordan Botsy combines efficient control and a unique orientation system to move to pot!
