The SPE Lab in the School of Chemical Engineering at JBNU conducts research on the design of sustainable polymer-based electronic and ionic systems, aiming to realize next-generation soft electronic devices and intelligent material platforms.

Based on fundamental understanding of polymer chemistry, nanoscience, electrochemistry, ion transport physics, and materials mechanics, our research focuses on the following areas:

• Design and organic synthesis of ion-conductive polymers

• Development of functional solid electrolytes for soft sensors, energy devices, and actuators

• Stimuli-responsive polymer networks and soft ionotronic robotics

• Recyclable and environmentally sustainable polymer electronic materials
