Global Citizen Year is a gap year program that empowers young people to become leaders in the fight against global poverty. Fellows spend a year working at a nonprofit organization in the United States or abroad, where they gain the skills and experience they need to make a lasting impact on the world.
The Stanford VFT team partnered with Global Citizen Year to create instructional modules teaching the participants how to creat virtual field trips. These virtual tours explored South African communities and pertinent local issues.
