AI has the potential to enhance all stages of surgical care, from clinical reasoning and surgical planning to intra- and post-operative strategy. Tools like OpenEvidence have been adopted by hundreds of thousands of physicians. We will explore the impact, expected and unexpected, of AI technologies in advancing surgical care and potentially creating more equitable access to the best treatments. We aim to identify areas for future growth where we can contribute through novel initiatives.
Skillset needs: I'm looking for people who are passionate about AI and surgery coming from a variety of backgrounds, such as CS, medicine, law, policy, and engineering. Open to mentors and partnerships.
