Graduate students at Stanford University host the biennial Genetics and Developmental Biology Student Symposium. This event is trainee-led by those in the Genetics and Developmental Biology Departments. For 2026, trainees selected the topic Marvelous Models: Prodigies for Probing Biology and invited speakers whose research leverages unique model organisms to address fundamental questions about biology.
In addition to connecting with researchers in the Stanford community, our symposium aims to reach the scientific community across the greater Bay Area, such as those at UC Berkeley, UCSF, SFSU, and USF.
