Tragedy has struck your Star Destroyer!
On a routine long-haul trip across the galaxy, the left engine of your imperial star destroyer has broken. Now, the ship is veering to the left and it is your job to correct its course before it spins out of control into the dangerous red zone!
How will you correct its course?
By ordering the crew to the left and right sides of the ship of course! If the ship is rotating too far to the left, hold down the right button to order your crew to the right of the ship. Conversely, if the ship is rotating too far to the right, shift your crew to the left by holding down the left button.
This is an emergency, you will have to raise your voice!
After months of long distance space travel, your crew has become pretty slow... but that doesn't mean they have to be! Yelling into the micorphone will make your crew run faster in the direction you order!
Make sure all of your crew escapes!
There are 8 escape pods in total, each one taking a little over 5 seconds to occupy and launch. Your goal is to ensure that all 8 escape pods leave the ship before it spins out of control!
Functionality
1.
Insert two coins into the coin slot on the left hand side. The game will start immediately and the ship will begin rotating to the left due to the broken left engine. Your crew starts in the middle of the ship and is represented by a column in the middle of the LED matrix.
2.
Hold down the left or right buttons to move the crew position left or right, respectively. Your crew's position will be indicated by the location of the column on the LED matrix. If the column is all the way to the left, your crew is all the way on the left of the ship. Conversely, if the column is all the way to the right, your crew is all the way on the right of the ship. The ship has momentum, so be careful where you place the crew!
As long as the ship stays within the green zone of the dial, the crew will evacuate via escape pods, which is indicated by the LEDs beneath the ship. As time goes on, the LEDs will light up from right to left. The goal is to balance the ship long enough such that all the escape pods leave!
3.
The game ends in three possible ways:
All the escape pods leave, which is indicated by fully lit escape pod LEDs, a victory message on the LED matrix, and a little ship dance.
The ship enters the red zone of the dial, which is indicated by a loss message on the LED matrix and the ship catastrophically spinning out of control.
There is no user input for 20 seconds, which is indicated by a "user timeout" message on the LED matrix.
