- All diplomas will be mailed by the Registrar's Office for Academic Year 2021-2022. Please make sure your mailing address is up to date on Axess. (During the June department commencement ceremony, we will hand out diploma covers only.)
- Masking is still recommended as of May 2022. We are expecting the auditorium to be mostly full. Please notify your guests to be prepared to be seated next to someone they may not know.

- TIP: If you are a Ph.D. grad going into academia, the expensive custom regalia may be worth it, as you'll wear it for the rest of your career. For Ph.D. grads going into industry, it is usually not worth the extra cost.

- This year the university is only mailing diplomas. Diploma covers with paper inserts will be handed out at department ceremonies, and diplomas will be mailed to students later in June.
- Graduates who cannot attend their departmental ceremonies will have the opportunity to order a diploma cover through the Diploma Request Portal. The cover will be free of charge but the Registar's Office will be assessing shipping fees. More information will be available on the Registrar’s Diploma website.
- Diplomas for winter and spring graduates will be ordered within a week of Spring degree conferral and require 6 to 8 weeks for processing and shipping. Students who require their diplomas within a shortened timeline have the option to request expedited shipping. More information on expedited shipping can be found on the Obtaining Your Diploma page on the Registrar’s website.
