Tony Kovscek - Anthony Kovscek is the Keleen and Carlton Beal Professor of Petroleum Engineering and a Senior Fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University. He was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering in 2023 for his contributions to pore-scale imaging and the understanding of foam flow in porous media. His research at Stanford, which began in 1996, focuses on the physics of fluid flow through porous media for applications like geological carbon sequestration and unconventional hydrocarbon recovery. Kovscek earned his B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively.
