Robert Smouse - Robert Smouse, a native Texan, began in the waste, recycling, and sustainability industry after graduating from Western Illinois University in 1992. As a past USGBC North Texas Board Member, Robert has focused on diverting valuable materials from our local landfills in support of advancing the use of alternative fuels (AF) for more than past fifteen (15) years. Robert is the Sr. Alternative Fuels Manager for CEMEX US Region and is responsible for sources AF materials for seven (7) of their eight (8) US Cement Plants. In addition, he is collaboratively leading the way within CEMEX towards reaching their US Substitution Goal of over 30%. Robert has been happily married for the past 24 years and strives each day (personally and professionally) to improve our future environment for the benefit of his three (3) blessed children, as well as everyone else.
