During our program, the highest group walk will be at an elevation of 4,900 feet above sea level. The highest group activity will be our Atlas Mountains mule ride, which reaches 6,200 feet, albeit walking is optional there. The highest elevation crossed by coach will be a 7,500-foot pass, with no physical activity.
If you live at low altitudes, you may experience some degree of altitude sickness at these elevations. Symptoms can include headache, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting and a general feeling of being unwell.
