PHILLIP POPOFF - Director, Resource Planning and Analysis at Puget Sound Energy. Phillip has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. In his current role, Phillip is responsible for Puget Sound Energy’s electric and natural gas utility IRPs and long-term electric and gas load forecasts. He is a lead in transitioning the Company from an IRP to an Integrated System Plan (ISP) framework. Phillip was Chairman of the WRAP Long-Term Metrics Working Group. He was chairman of PNUCC’s (Pacific Northwest Utility Conference Committee) System Planning Committee for several years and Chairman of the PNUCC/Northwest Gas Association’s Gas-Electric Planning Task Force as well. Phillip has been with PSE for 26 years. Prior to joining PSE, he spent three years at the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission and two years at the Virginia State Corporation Commission. Phillip has B.S. and M.S. degrees in economics from the University of Wyoming, where he focused on both utility and environmental economics. He completed the Professional Certificate program in Strategic Decisions and Risk Management at Stanford University in 2011 and attended the Executive Management Program at the University of Washington 1999 - 2000.
