A Christmas Carol

A Note From The Director

Margie Zarcone

Adapter, Director, Narrator

Enjoying a production of A Christmas Carol has become so intertwined with celebrating the holiday season that it is easy to forget the radical origins of the story.

It was written, in Dickens own words as, “a sledgehammer blow” to society’s treatment of the poor, exploitation of children, and employers view of their employees as dispensable.

My goal with this adaptation was to stay true to Dickens intention ,while providing a playground for the actors to create their characters, and a cozy storybook listening experience.
