Rachel Bahler

Rachel is thrilled to work once again with Eric, and this time in an exciting new medium! Rachel attributes her choice to pursue this career to Eric and his enormously positive influence in her life, and has been lucky enough to work under his direction as Amneris in AIDA and Little Red in INTO THE WOODS. Rachel's career began in New York City where she performed in the site-specific theatre piece ACCOMPLICE as well as in the NYMF and Midtown International Theater Festivals, and later performed in three national tours, most notably as Eden Brent in the First National Tour of Woody Allen’s BULLETS OVER BROADWAY directed by Susan Stroman and Jeff Whiting.

In 2017 she launched her international career as a lead soloist for AIDA cruises. Since then Rachel has furthered her career in Germany while still maintaining roots in the United States. Her "German Broadway" debut was as the opera singer, Violetta, in the international premiere of the Broadway musical PRETTY WOMAN at Stage Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg, Germany.

Rachel is best known for her quirky sense of humor and comedic timing, as well as her immense vocal versatility, with a range of over three octaves. Her voice teacher lovingly refers to her voice type as “Baritone with Soprano Extension.”

Rachel trained in improv comedy in the Advanced Study program at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York after majoring in Vocal Performance at UNC-CH and getting her B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, graduating cum laude. Go Blue!
