Pam Murphy

Pam Murphy (Mrs. Krelborn) has appeared in numerous productions at Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, Actor’s Theater of Nantucket, Nantucket Short Play Festival and On the Isle since discovering the thrill of the stage in 2002. Among them are: Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple, David Margulies’ Dinner with Friends, David Auburn’s Proof, A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters with John Shea, Israel Horovitz’ My Old Lady, Frederick Knott’s Wait Until Dark, John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt, A Parable, John Cariani’s Almost Maine, Michael and Susan parker’s Sex Please We’re Sixty, John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation, Nora and Delia Ephron’s Love Loss and What I Wore, David Ives’ All In The Timing, Relatively Speaking, Universal Language and Variations on the Death of Trotsky, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods, Simon Beaufoy’s The Full Monty, Gerome Ragni and James Rado’s Hair, Clare Booth Luce’ The Women, numerous short play submissions to Nantucket Short Play Festival as well as many radio play performances for the Acktors Colony of Nantucket Noir series. Pam has also directed staged reading performances of Wait Until Dark, Almost Maine, Sex Please We’re Sixty, The Amorous Ambassador, David Ives plays and Nantucket Short Play Festival performances. 2020 brought the advent of the Zoom Play and Auntie Mame and Hound of the Baskervilles for On the Isle Productions.

In real life, Pam was a retail shop owner and cashmere wholesaler which enabled her to help found and run our local animal shelter (Nantucket Safe Harbor for Animals). She recently moved on to preside over Marine Mammal Alliance Nantucket, rescuing stranded marine mammals, advocating for their well-being and educating the public about our precious and delicate ecosystem.
